Water System Benefits
Providing Everything You Need
Softener benefits and media purpose:

•10% cross linked resin simply has a longer life and is more chemical and chlorine resistant. General Technologies C110DQ cation resin provides a high purity, premium cation resin designed for the treatment of foods, beverages, potable waters, and water used in the processing of food.
•10% crosslink resin is more resistant to damage from iron deposits and chlorine, so it'll last about 15-20 years.
•The “cross link” refers to the bonds inside the resin bead. The 10% resin has more bonds that hold the beads together so that they will last longer. Over time, resin beads will fracture and break down into a mush-like paste.
•Prevents build-up of minerals (scale) on the inside of pipes, fixtures, and hot water heaters. Lengthens the life of some appliances. Reduces or prevents mineral spots on glassware. Prevents or reduces soap films and detergent curds in sinks, bathtubs, and washing machines.
•Soft water requires less soap and fewer rinses to achieve optimal results, meaning your hair will maintain its color and condition for much longer. Soft water also balances your hair's pH level, so you're left with silky smooth hair after every wash.
Catalytic carbon:

•Chloramines are best removed from water by catalytic carbon filtration. Catalytic carbon, activated carbon with an enhanced capacity for contaminant removal, is one of the few filtration media that can successfully reduce chloramines from drinking water.
•Catalytic carbon is a type of activated carbon that is specially treated to enhance its ability to adsorb dissolved impurities from water. It is commonly used in water filtration systems, both for residential and commercial use, as well as in industrial applications.
•Activated carbon, of which catalytic carbon is a variation, is made by heating carbon-rich materials, such as coconut shells, coal, or wood, at high temperatures in the absence of oxygen. This process creates a porous material with a large surface area, which makes it highly effective at absorbing impurities. However, catalytic carbon is treated in a way that makes it even more effective.
•It is commonly used in residential and commercial water filtration systems, such as under-sink filters and whole-house filters because of its enhanced ability to remove certain contaminants.
•Activated carbon and ceramic filters don't remove essential minerals from tap water. That's because the healthy minerals are not attracted to carbon. Reverse Osmosis (RO) removes everything, including the healthy minerals
